BHP Merchandise to be Available at October 16th Show

Black Hat Productions plans to have its own merchandise available at a low cost to you at The Wish You Weres/The Redliners Union Show.  As of now stickers are the only merchandise planned but temporary tattoos,  wristbands, and A-Frame T-Shirts are also in the works.

Help Us Promote 10-16-2010

Today starts the one month countdown to The Wish You Weres/The Redliners reunion show.  We want to make this an event to go down in Paducah Show History but we can’t do this without your help.  Below, we have posted Jessica Darling’s handbill version of the show flyer.  Please help us promote this show and promote local music by printing out a few copies of the Handbill Flyer and passing them around to your friends.

Hemp Noose Tear Through 10 Tracks

Last night,   Black Hat’s freshly signed musical act, Hemp Noose, layed down the final tracks to their first full length album.  The 4-piece recorded a total of 10 tracks at Earth Sound Studios under direction of tone wizard, Daniel Wolke.

While it is unclear what sounds will make it into the final mix, conga sets, dobro guitars, and even Ancient African Evil Spirit Summoning instruments were seen lying around the studio.

The Wish You Weres LIVE at the Knights of Columbus – Paducah, KY 10.16.10

On Saturday October 16th, Black Hat Productions partners with Paducah Promotions to bring you the birth and resurrection of 4 bands.  Coming back from year long hiatus are local kings of punk, “The Wish You Weres” and “The Redliners“.  Making their debut at the opening of the show are bands “Shark Week” and “Cartisean”

Black Hat Signs Hemp Noose to Management

After months of conversing, today marked the finalization of a management deal between Western-Kentucky based band Hemp Noose and Black Hat Productions.   The relationship between the two parties hopes to expand Hemp Noose’s fan base throughout Kentucky while allowing Black Hat to expand into the business of Artist Management.

First on Black Hat’s list in transforming the local act into a band with a state-wide reputation is funding Hemp Noose to produce their first record.  This weekend the band plans to put in long hours at local audio production facility, Earth Sound Studios. Some of the first tracks to be recorded include “Methadone Hill”, “New Madrid”, and their self titled single “Hemp Noose”.  The band plans to record 8 of its best tracks and, time permiting, may be able to capture as many as 12 tracks.

In addition to recording, Black Hat’s immediate plans for Hemp Noose include a photo session with Tennessee Titans Cheerleader photographer Michael Marty, designing new logos/merchandise, and obtaining radio play among local, college, and internet stations.  As of now, an Album Release Date has not been decided, but a Hemp Noose CD Release Show is being planned for late October/early November.
